I am a mixed media painter. I strive for my abstract paintings to provide a sense of place. My works have been described as “a form of literary art” and my compositions are a reflection of the past, far-flung destinations, discovery and historical writings.
I work primarily in acrylic, but also use India Ink, watercolor and mark-making tools to round out a work. I love to use vintage papers, antique ephemera and out of print books to tell a story in my work.
I grew up on a horse ranch in North Central Montana and am inspired by the natural world, travel, sketchbooks/notebooks of early explorers and historic figures, flea markets, and most of all, the written word.
I have had two solo shows and my work has homes all over the United States. I currently show in two galleries in the Northwestern United States. I live and work in Montana.
